Over de Buddy Film Foundation
Buddy Film Foundation is in 2017 opgericht en fungeert als startloket voor gevluchte professionele filmmakers en creatieven. De Buddy wil hen middels workshops, coaching en concrete filmprojecten helpen naar betaald werk om zo een veilige, duurzame en zelfredzame plek in Nederland te bieden. De afgelopen jaren hebben ruim 200 gevluchte filmmakers en creatieven uit een groot aantal landen
zich bij ons aangesloten. Onder hen zitten regisseurs, regisseurs, producenten, geluidsmensen, make-up artists, editors en scenarioschrijvers.
In 2018 zijn we gestart met twee activiteiten om onze eigen kosten te dekken: Buddy Film Casting en Buddy Film Productions. Het team van de Buddy Film Foundation bestaat uit diverse afkomsten, culturen en levensbeschouwingen en wij zijn op zoek naar een mooie toevoeging tot ons team.
Het project waar je voor komt werken: de Buddy Career Boost
In de loop van 2019 ontstond de wens om een aantal leden intensiever en gerichter te begeleiden naar de arbeidsmarkt. In 2020 startte BFF daarom het tweejarige programma de Buddy Career Boost. Binnen het programma werd een groep van 20 gevluchte, professionele film- en televisiemakers begeleid naar betaald werk. De begeleiding was persoonlijk, intensief en op maat. Het programma is op basis van vrijwillige deelname maar is niet vrijblijvend. Er werden netwerkbijeenkomsten en trainingen georganiseerd en er werd direct bemiddeld tussen deelnemers en werkgevers.
Van 2024 tot 2027 wordt de Buddy Career Boost een jaarlijks terugkerend trainingsprogramma met een groep van 12 deelnemers met de focus op de volgende onderwerpen:

● 2026 – 2027 Scenario en Script Writing
Taakomschrijving
Als projectleider voor de Buddy Career Boost ben je verantwoordelijk voor de opzet, uitvoering en administratieve afwikkeling van het programma. Samen met de directie en de matchmakers en Buddy coach voer je het project wat bestaat uit persoonlijke intervisie, voorbereiden, organiseren en monitoren van de trainingen en workshops, arbeidsmarktbemiddeling en ondersteun je de directie met tussentijdse evaluaties naar partners en de Raad van Toezicht.
Periode
Wij zoeken een projectleider die 1 mei kan beginnen en samen met het management de lijnen uitzet en de volgende fase voorbereidt en uitvoert. Vanaf 1 september zal de uitvoeringsfase starten en loopt tot Q2 2025. Na een succesvolle samenwerking, van beide kanten, is een verlenging mogelijk voor de programma’s in 2025-2026 en eventueel 2026-2027.

Als projectleider van de Buddy Career Boost is het belangrijk dat je affiniteit hebt met de belevingswereld van onze deelnemers, zowel met hun professionele achtergrond als met hun persoonlijke verhalen en ervaringen misschien deel je die wel? Onze nieuwe projectleider heeft de volgende karaktereigenschappen:
● Je hebt financieel inzicht en bent bekend het werken met en bewaken van budgetten en begrotingen;
● Je werkt gestructureerd en bent erg punctueel, met name in vastlegging van afspraken, dit doe je dan ook liever vaker dan te weinig;
● Je bent goed bekend met Microsoft Office en met name Excel;
● Je bent oplossingsgericht en vindt creatieve oplossingen buiten de gebaande paden;
● Je hebt een inclusieve mindset en benadering;
● Je bent een teamplayer en verbinder;
● Je hebt uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden;

Voorwaarden
Wij belonen op basis van ZZP en hebben een marktconforme project vergoeding voor 9 maanden per
jaar, 2 dagen in de week. Richting de start van de uitvoering van het project zal de wekelijkse belasting wellicht iets hoger liggen om na afronding van het programma weer iets lager te liggen.
Reiskosten worden vergoed op basis van EUR 0,23 per kilometer of op basis van de werkelijke lasten
van het OV.

About Buddy Film Foundation
Buddy Film Foundation was established in 2017 and serves as a launchpad for professional filmmakers and creatives with a refugee background. BFF aims to assist them through
workshops, coaching, and participation in actual film projects towards with the end goal to place them in paid employment, thereby providing a safe, sustainable, and self-reliant position in the Netherlands. Over the past few years, more than 200 refugee filmmakers and creatives from a wide range of countries have joined us. Among them are directors,
producers, sound engineers, makeup artists, editors, and screenwriters.
In 2018, we started two activities to generate private income besides public funding: Buddy Film Casting and Buddy Film Productions. The team of the Buddy Film Foundation consists of diverse origins, cultures, and views and philosophies, and we are looking for an addition to our team.
The project you will be working on: Buddy Career Boost
During 2019, the desire arose to more intensively and specifically guide a number of participants towards the job market. Therefore, in 2020, BFF launched the two-year Buddy Career Boost program. Within the program, a group of 20 refugee professional film and television makers was guided towards paid employment. The guidance was personal, intensive, and tailored. The program is based on voluntary commitment: opt in, but also go all-in! We host networking events and training sessions were organized, and direct mediation between participants and employers was facilitated.
From 2024 to 2027, the Buddy Career Boost will become an annual training program with a group of 12 participants, focusing on the following topics:

Job Description
As the Project Coordinator for the Buddy Career Boost, you are responsible for the setup, execution, and administrative processing of the program. Together with the management
and the matchmakers and Buddy coaches, you execute the project, which consists of organising personal intervision, setup, arrange and monitor the training- and workshop sessions, advice on job market mediation to the Matchmaker, and you support the management with interim evaluations to partners and the Supervisory Board.
Period
We are looking for a Project Coordinator who can start on May 1st and, together with the management, outline and prepare and execute the next phase. The implementation phase
will start from September 1st and run until Q2 2025. After a successful collaboration, from both sides, an extension is possible for the programs in 2025-2026 and possibly 2026-2027.

Candidate Profile
As the Project Coordinator of the Buddy Career Boost, it's important that you have an affinity with the experiences of our participants, both with their professional background and their personal stories and experiences, perhaps you share these? Our new Project Coordinator has the following characteristics:
● Financial insight and familiarity with working on and monitoring budgets and estimates.
● Works structured and is very punctual, especially in recording appointments, preferring to do so more often than too little.
● Well-acquainted with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
● Solution-oriented and able to find creative solutions off the beaten path.
● Has an inclusive mindset and approach.
● A team player and connector.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Proficient in Dutch and English and to be able to express oneself well in verbal and writing communication. (Guideline: B1/B2)

Conditions
We reward on a freelance basis and offer a market-conform project fee for 9 months per year, 2 days a week. Towards the start of the project's execution, the weekly workload may be slightly higher, to decrease again after the program's completion. Travel expenses are reimbursed at EUR 0.23 per kilometer or based on the actual costs of public transportation.
