Omar Bankin Mohammad (Syria, 1997) is a Kurdish-Syrian actor, writer, and director. His career took off with stand-up comedy and improv. He organized his own shows and performed at large shows with up to 400 attendees. In 2018, after moving to Amsterdam, he shot his first film for the MusicBed contest "Black Beetle". Moved on to commercial work, then minor projects. In 2023, he wrote and directed Guesties, a short film for the 48-hour film festival. Omar studied acting at the Mulholland Drama Academy and international media and entertainment management at the Hogeschool van Utrecht.
